15 States Identified for Central Pilot Scheme on Fortification of Rice & Its Distribution through PDS.

Approved for 3 years beginning 2019-2020 with a budget outlay of 174.6 crore.

States have identified their respective district for implementing the scheme — Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, T.N. & Chhattisgarh leave already implemented.

A comprehensive plan to cover all the districts under ICDS & Mid-Day Meal scheme to be in place from 2021-2022.

Special focus on 112 Aspirational Districts of the country.
